Bolton and Bowland Christmas Cracker
On the 15th of December this year a few of us, in the true sprit of Christmas, decided to venture upon unknown territory and attend a Lancashire do. The party in question was Bolton and Bowlands Christmas Cracker held at Clithoroe Auction Mart. The venue was well decked out in seasonal attire, which included giant blow up Santa’s and a huge balloon filled piñata. Over 500 hundred people were there, which provided the party with a really buzzing Christmas atmosphere. It turned out to be one of the best YFC dos I have ever attended, and it was so well attended that it managed to receive a full page spread in the Farmers Guardian. There were 3 different DJs that collectively provided the usual anthems that no young farmer party can be a success without, I am sure you all no the songs in question! As a result of the good music many of us did not leave the dance floor all night, my feet were extremely sore the day after! The night consisted of many comedy moments which included seeing Ryan Atkinson trying to ride a bucking reindeer with no shirt on and Martin attempting to drink a welly full of larger (how he was not sick I do not know!). We met loads of new people and it was nice to mix with people from outside our county. I would defiantly attend another Lancashire bash as I can safely say a great time was had by all. It’s a real shame that they don’t keep there website more up to date with there up and coming events.
